Intel demos notebook chiller

Intel and Embraco showed just such a system at the San Francisco IDF back in September. However, this time round, Eden also showed a version of the technology designed to be built into a notebook's casing. He also discussed an air-permeable material Intel is developing that could be placed under a laptop's keyboard, allowing much more air to be drawn into the machine - a process that's becoming more difficult as laptops get thinner - but at the same time is impervious to liquids spilled on the keyboard. The laptop stand may go on sale before the end of the year, but the built-in refrigeration system and the spill-proof material aren't likely to appear in notebooks until late 2008.

Somniloquy Lets Your Computer Download Files In Its Sleep

Computer scientists at UC San Diego along with Microsoft Research have developed this USB device they dub the, which appropriately enough means "talking in one's sleep." The dongle lets you keep your computer in sleep mode, which saves a ton of energy, while remaining seemingly active on the network. So your computer will be in sleep mode, but you'll still be able to download files or receive IM or VoIP messages, and if an action that requires your computer's full attention does occur, Somniloquy will gently rouse it from its slumber. The device is actually a very low-power computer, complete with OS and flash memory, and essentially takes over as the computer's presence on the network while the actual computer is asleep. It consumes somewhere between 11 and 24 times less power than a full computer, which makes for some impressive energy savings. The creators are hoping the tech will be incorporated into future network cards so computers have this functionality out of the box

CD/DVD-ROM

Compact Disks are computer hardware parts invented by Sony © and Philips © in 1981 in order to constitute a compact audio support of high quality allowing a direct access to the numerical tracks. It was officially launched in October 1982. To install software in your cheap computer your will need a CD-Rom.DVD-Rom (digital versatile disk- read only memory)the dvd-rom is an "alternative" for the CD-Rom whose capacity is larger than the CD-Rom
CD-writerCD-Writers are computer hardware parts very useful to save large file like graphics, pictures, and music.Access time The access time is the time that the laser takes to reach the data on the disk. It is measured in millisecond. In CD-ROM the access time is lower than 100 milliseconds and lower than 150 milliseconds in DVD-ROM. Lower the access time, the better it is.
Computer Processor Guide

First microprocessor (INTEL 4004) was invented in 1971. The processor (CPU: for Computer Processing unit) is the brain of the computer, it is the microprocessor that carries out all calculations and carries out the data management for the computer.
Two principal manufacturers of computer hardware parts are present on the market: INTEL and AMD. click on the to compare them and view some useful information on how the processor works.

Towards a greener computer–but what does that really do?

There are many ways to cool the insides of a computer, but the most common is through the use of heatsinks and fan’s. Computer hardware junkies prefer a more advanced hack: a more quiet and efficient way of dissipating heat from their overclocked CPU’s. This invention by MSI makes the fan inside your computer power-free, thus less power drawn from the computer power supply.

The graphic cards play important role for gamers, graphic designers and 3D animators who tend to require optimum displays for their work as well as faster rendering in order to efficiently tone up their work whereas integrated or onboard graphics were capable of handling most day-to-day work and supports basic usage to run windows and it's features.
The concept of onboard graphics really came up when Intel integrated graphics with its 810-chipset based motherboards for the PIII processor. Intel didn't leave an option for putting in an additional graphics card, forcing people to use only onboard graphics, which eliminated a lot of graphics cards from the market. Intel later came up with the provision to add graphics cards as well, and this changed the face of the graphics market.People didn't feel the need to buy a separate graphics card, because the onboard card served the purpose well. Intel brought iterations of its onboard graphics, with the latest one being the Extreme Graphics 2 core for the P4 processor. Along the way, two major graphics manufacturers joined the race by introducing their motherboard chipsets with onboard graphics. These were NVIDIA with its Nforce and Nforce 2 chipsets, and ATI with its latest Radeon 9100 IGP (Integrated Graphics Port). So today, with graphics manufacturers in the race, onboard graphics have become quite powerful. You can play games, watch movies, or run high-end graphics applications. That brings us to the million-dollar question of why go for a separate graphics card.

The Motherboards Guide

The principal part of a cheap computer is the motherboard; like many other things, motherboards have different manufacturers. Brand-name manufacturers of computer hardware parts don’t want users swapping their motherboard for other manufacturer’s motherboards.
If you have a brand-name computer you may be required to purchase a new motherboard from the same manufacturer.

Graphic card

Graphic cards, sometimes called video card, are computer hardware parts charged to send the graphic data to the monitor.
The best graphic card is the AGP but your motherboard must be equipped with an AGP expansion slot. Powerful graphic card is important for graphic designers and people who like to play game on their computer because they provide good resolution. The AGP is not necessary for everyday tasks.
